Learning to Program in Python for Kids

of all ages and Linux on a Raspberry Pi by Philip M Russell

Now this is very much work in progress.

Lego seems to be the initial answer to the problem until something better is found. There are many cases on the market, but this is my lego case.  I took the idea from others, but I have slim-lined the case - made it simpler with bigger flat plates and lower in height.

The Lego case without the lidHaving had a few goes at this I am happy with the result. I have made the plans in the Lego Digital Designer and have attached the plans and building instructions.

The colour is up to you, I used the Lego that I had spare to make a strong box.

The original build shown in the photographs had a blue window, I subsuquently obtained a clear 2x1 clear brick without a pin from a friend who deals in Lego parts.

The Lego Digital Designer VersionI have not planned to include an output to the GERT board as yet, but this is only a minor change to the Lego build. The Case with a lid

The Raspberry Pi does not get very hot so there is no fear of melting the Lego.

The hardest part of the build was finding the parts from my sons boxes of Lego. I have listed these for you so your job might be easier.
