Now setting up python depends very much on what operating system you wish to install it on. Python can be installed on machines such as the Raspberry Pi to Windows and Mac's. The installation is a bit different on each of the machines but it will run on all of them.
Once installed then different programming environments can be installed. For most systems I prefer Geany but you might prefer something else. Geany makes learning nice and easy.
