The Genos is the top choice for musicians looking for a powerful arranger workstation, particularly for live performances, with many users highlighting its improved tone quality. We have found that the sound is great as are the styles that go with it. The Genos is a 76-key keyboard with 1,710 voices, 550 accompaniment styles, and 216 arpeggios, with 128-voice polyphony.
The Genos 2 brings a few new features to the scene but at present we don't think the upgrade is really worthwhile.
The Genos has a comprehensive touch screen, which is easy to see, navigate, and operate. This touch screen, essentially an entire 800x480 pixel colour display. Here is where you can choose voices, patterns, styles, harmonies, etc. quickly and easily, usually with just a few touches. It has a whole range or configurable sliders that can act as drawbars, or be used to change the tone and sound levels of all the instruments that are being played.
The Genos is powerful without making things difficult to figure out like typical pro-level keyboard workstations. Putting together a song is pretty easy—and quite fun, too!
The genos sounds good connected to a large yamaha subwoofer and a couple of speakers .
