This links with Ableton DAW. The Keyboard can control Ableton and VCV2 our main Synth.
This easily integrates all our hardware with our DAW, enabling us to get the best of both worlds, recording any electronic performance from one studio central controller.
This is for us the perfect controller for Ableton Live, giving us full parameter feedback across five colour LCD screens, so we can see everything we are doing.
The Novation has an internal eight-track pattern-based sequencer, which allows us to record in real time or input notes per step, then edit the sequences directly from the keyboard and record automation.
SL MkIII's velocity-sensitive RGB pads have multiple functions too: they can be used for launching clips, as steps in the sequencer, for finger drumming, and have polyphonic aftertouch.
VCV Rack 2, our main synthesizer, comes with more than 30 built-in modules, but there is a library of more than 1800 free third-party (and 300 premium) modules. The library also includes official clones of real-world hardware synths and nodules from established Eurorack manufacturers, many of which are free.
