Week 1 Start Research Start Research on Pipe Organs , The NSOS, The New School of Organ Studies and learning how to play the organ. You will need Resources!!! You need to create plans to design a website of at least 10 different webpages. Once complete these plans will be given to another student to build the website and you will be given another set. You will therefore have to ensure that their is enough detail for the other student to create the website to your specification. The website that you build will be measured against the specification you were given

Week 2 Continue Research Complete the spreadsheet on Web page analysis. Calculate the % figures for each category. Produce a pie chart for the sky.com web page. Label it correctly. Bring it with you to the next lesson without fail. - Ensure that you have all the data from the other groups. We will be using it first thing next lesson Session5

Week 3 Most of Research Done - Create a Story board for NOS web Site - Page Designs Virtually all of your Research needs to be completed by the start of the next session (see why) As in session 4 Collect together a minumum of set sets of results for analysing the content of a web site.

Week 4 Research fully Complete - Create the Action Plan Page Designs In Friday (You MUST keep a copy)

Week 5 Create all the Meta Tags necessary for each page on the NOS Site Incremental Action Plan In Friday

Week 6 Draw up the standards for creating the NOS website. Meta Tags in on Friday

Week 7 Specify the hardware and software requirements that would be needed to allow this website to be set up on your home computer and then to be accessed from your home onto the internet. - Start Building the Web Site CSS Files made in Friday

Week 8 List 10 main advantages for the use of websites for users Hardware and Software specs Friday

Week 9 What design considerations have to be taken into account when designing this website? Screen size, Operating Systems, Systems etc. 10 Advantages in Friday P3

Week 10 Ensure Site Validation and Compliancy with W3C

Week 11 What add-on technologies could be used on this site. Hit Counter When would it be appropriate to use them.

Week 12 User Satisfaction Survey for evaluation

Week 13 How should web sites be organised to allow effective updating and future development. Describe and compare in detail the effect of download time in relation to large website files (for instance mp3download examples)

Week 14 Critically evaluate one of the 5 websites listed in Ideas section 1 of the new school of organ studies page using different browsers.
